Our engagement began with an essential feasibility study to assess the need for services, accessibility improvements, and amenity upgrades. This study provided vital insights for Ausgrid’s decision-making. Subsequently, we worked closely with Ausgrid Property and Procurement to craft a comprehensive design and procurement strategy. Our approach involved consultation, planning, and strategic alignment with Ausgrid’s objectives.

Concurrently, we assisted Ausgrid Property in formulating an overarching property strategy for the designated commercial office space. This strategic effort aimed to optimise the utility and value of the facility while aligning with Ausgrid’s ‘Empower principles’ to deliver a consistent open plan workplace solution.

The refurbishment covered essential areas such as office facilities for 75 staff, end-of-trip facilities, town hall spaces, wellness areas, and external upgrade works to the hardstand. Additionally, the replacement of front and rear security gates, along with associated works. Given the operational nature of the site, significant coordination with local stakeholders was crucial to guaranteeing that depot operations remained unaffected during the works.

4pm Projects took on a pivotal role in overseeing the refurbishment upgrade of Ausgrid’s existing 3,000 sqm workspace at the Oatley depot. This comprehensive project included the consolidation of staff from three buildings into one centralised location, coupled with a light upgrade to the external spaces surrounding the depot.

Our involvement encompassed leading the Ausgrid stakeholder engagement briefing phase, formulating the design and procurement strategy, appointing the construction team, and managing the entire construction process.
