Project details

In January 2021, we were engaged as project managers for the relocation of University Chambers from 65 Martin Place to 167 Macquarie Street.

Our team was responsible for orchestrating the project from conception to completion, ensuring that every facet aligned with the vision and requirements of the University Chambers and its stakeholders.

Design briefings and procurement strategies required close collaboration with University Chambers, enabling us to shape a design and procurement plan that reflected their distinct needs and preferences.

Our role

Our team managed interior design, furniture procurement, services coordination, AV design, and joinery design and oversaw the construction phase to staff relocation.

Installing an internal staircase was another complex aspect, compounded by the structural limitations of the base building.

Our team engaged in meticulous planning and coordination, ensuring the structural modifications were seamlessly integrated with the overall design.

We designed a virtual courtroom in the main 16-person boardroom to address COVID-19 risks where Barristers could undertake a virtual courtroom hearing without leaving their office.

Outcomes

The relocation culminated in a space that exceeded expectations. The multifunctional conference room space is a testament to the synergy between innovative design and impeccable project management. This space now serves as a versatile hub for virtual courtroom meetings, embodying functionality and aesthetic excellence.
