The Class 2 remediation project at 1 Cliff Road, Epping, represented a pivotal intervention for a large strata scheme requiring remediation works including the roof, façade, balconies and ground floor units.

We were engaged to manage the remediation efforts on behalf of owners corporation.

This necessitated that the strategies implemented were in alignment with the expectations and requirements of all stakeholders involved, to protect the owners assets.

Our role

Our role encompassed the management of the remediation’s specification, the coordination of consultants, and the rigorous planning of work schedules to accommodate the complex scope of works.

Central to our duties was the tendering process, through which remediation builders were selected, marking the commencement of the staged construction process.

Over a span of two years, our project management efforts remained focused on achieving a balance between precision in execution, adherence to the timeline and regulatory requirements.

Outcomes

The introduction of changes to legislation concerning Class 2 residential projects, specifically the DBP Act, added layers of complexity to our navigational efforts through the regulatory landscape.

Nonetheless, the successful outcome of this project was marked by the transformation of previously vacant apartments, which were reoccupied, and a pleased owners corporation, signalling a significant achievement in the restoration of the building’s value.
