Project details

To initiate the process, 4PM conducted a thorough evaluation of potential café owners and operators, working closely with Ausgrid’s property and project team.

We facilitated the selection process and initiated design briefings and consultant appointments in collaboration with The Naked Duck. This involved coordinating with lead designers and technical consultants to craft a detailed set of tender documents. These documents were instrumental in engaging sub-trades, managing costs against the project budget, securing trade commitments, and overseeing subsequent construction and completion phases.

Our role

Ausgrid entrusted 4PM with the role of lead Project Manager for the complete fit-out of a new café situated on the street level of Roden Cutler House at 24 Campbell Street, Haymarket. Our responsibility extended to providing end-to-end services, ensuring the seamless execution of Ausgrid’s vision for the space.

Outcomes

Leveraging our in-depth knowledge of the base building services and infrastructure within Roden Cutler House, combined with our extensive experience in hospitality projects, resulted in a seamless design and documentation phase. This smooth coordination ultimately translated into significant time and cost savings for the building owner.

The Naked Duck Café, now established as a 50-seat venue, integrates with the building’s entry, serving both Roden Cutler House tenants and the general public. The space exudes an open and inviting atmosphere and features top-tier culinary equipment, including a 6-burner range/cooktop, deep fryer, griddle, exhaust canopy, 10-tray combi steamer, under-bench fridges/freezers, salamander, coffee machine, display fridges, heat shelf, and pass-through commercial dishwashers.
